Growing up in a music-loving family made for a lot of shared memories around song, melodies and lyrics. One of those memories bubbled up while sitting around a dinner table, rotating through song requests like we'd done many nights before. This time however, we were plugging song lyrics into ChatGPT, and using the output interpretation to color our experience. Some results we're off the mark, some we're funny, and some really captured the essence of the song.
Up in the queue came "She Goes On" by Crowded House – a song that's been played thousands of times in our house. Reading out the interpretation, I noticed a tear rolling down my mother's cheek. Cocking her head to my father, she said, "You played this song when my mother passed away and I never realized how sweet the lyrics were until now."
Wow – that's a profound response
This poignant moment led me to build LyricMind with the hope of creating more of those experiences for music lovers.
